- Project Manager
- The Giver
As The Giver, Vince is warm, empathetic, responsive, and responsible. He's highly attuned to the emotions, needs, and motivations of others. He finds potential in everyone, wanting to help others fulfill their potential. He also acts as a catalyst for individual and group growth. Vince is loyal, responsive, sociable, and is emerging as an inspiring leader.
Vince was born and raised in Akron and cherishes his Northeastern Ohio home. He's a fan of all things Cleveland including sports and food, but has a particular love for his alma mater, the University of Akron. Vince is also an assistant Soccer coach at CVCA, a local high school.
One of the most significant things to note about Vince is that he showed up to ipsoCreative one day (while still a marketing student). He was welcomed to continue coming and he did. He picked up little tasks here and there and eventually kept showing up until he was offered an internship. He made himself so indispensable that he was then offered employment as Production Coordinator. Then when things become really busy and he showed great potential, he was promoted to Project Manager.
- Project Management with additional emphasis and education in marketing.
- Proficiency with open-source content management systems such as: Wordpress, Umbraco, and Drupal.
- Deep experience in content organization, project management of custom programming, and utilization of open-source Wordpress widgets.
As ipsoCreative's Project Manager, Vince specializes in the more technically challenging web design and development projects. Having begun his career at ipsoCreative in production (content loading and quality assurance), he formed his knowledge of open-source content management systems while in the trenches. He also performs the majority of training sessions for ipso's clients once their website is completed and ready to launch.
Vince further brings his highly capable, highly organized, doggedly determined, no fear, but highly loyal advocacy to his work, his clients, and the rest of the ipsoCreative team. His goal is to create stories that matter – to both clients and their customers. He also has yet to say no to any request from the ipso team.
Q&A with Vince
What's the best part of your story so far?
My community - such an incredible group of like-minded individuals. I could not ask to be surrounded by a more quality group of humans.
What organization or company inspires you and why?
encourage Co. - our very own Liz Poest's newest dream that gives paper a deeper purpose. As if full-time wife & mother of two + part-time ipso designer + constant creative wasn't enough to keep someone busy, you can now ad entrepreneur and visionary to the list! Liz's desire to use her gift of design to encourage others is plenty to inspire me, but her willingness to put herself out there and just start something is just as inspirational to me. Liz is making the world a better place.
What is something no one would ever believe to be true about you?
I have never had a cup of coffee in my life. *Update April 25, 2014: Vince had his very first cup of coffee at Barista Parlor in Nashville with the ipso tribe. He liked it. And has yet to taste a better brew.
What are you passionate about related to the work you do in serving others?
Investing in others’ lives in ways that meet them where they are at. The best kind of experience to me is one that builds a relationship along with the service. Defining service this way in my life has turned it into less of an action (or job) and more of a lifestyle.
What are you doing when you feel most like you?
Spending time with good friends // New adventures // Creating stories that matter // Exploring earth // Doing something difficult and challenging whether it be climbing a mountain, facing a fear, or some days just rolling out of bed when the alarm goes off.
