For the longest time, the brand managers at Pratt & Lambert had been communicating manually with their dealers. When one of them needed access to an asset or resource, they would send a request via email and wait for a response. What they needed as an all-encompassing website that could function as a resource library for dealers to login and retrieve everything they needed without going through the tedious manual process. This site needed to be secure, handle a ramp up of a multiple user network, and house a range of time sensitive resources (images, pdfs, sales sheets, media, product data, etc.).
Our internal team was able to assess the unique set of requirements and define all the functional requirements within a custom developed WordPress CMS-based solution. Each resource was managed with customized upload dates and revision history to keep obsolete resources from being available as they were frequently updated. We also accommodated a simple user login structure for dealers to be linked to the network without hassle. We kept the brand managers at Pratt & Lambert closely involved in the information architecture phase of the project in order to deliver a successful end product.
In the end, the folks at Sherwin Williams were completely satisfied with the end product. They no longer had to trust the tedious and problematic manual process of communicating information to their dealers. They now had a cohesive, singular, user-friendly online resource library providing them with the ability to publish multiple file types for dealers all across the world.
